Inland Container Depot (I. C. D.) at Sachin (Surat), has the privilege of serving this city and also the industrial belt from Vadodara to Vapi. The I.C.D., is an inland port, for custom-clearance of containerized Import & Export Cargo. It is the only i.c.d. working at Surat and has the best possible location. It is within Surat City but outside municipal limits: just about 10 km . from the main market of Surat. Magdella Seaport is 14 km. away and the gateway ports of Mumbai-Ahmedabad National Highway. It is Close to Sachin Railway Station and is in Surat Special Economic Zone. The City is clean green and a model industrial township.

From I.C.D., Sachin export cargo can be sent from JNPT and Mumbai Port. Similarly, Import Cargo Can come to I.C.D. Sachin via these port.
